Petru Ruset

Petru Ruset has more than 30 years of experience in the main companies activating in the Romanian energy fields. He is currently the CEO of Siemens Energy and has joined Siemens in 2007 as Head of company’s divisions related to the energy field. Between 1989 and 2007 he worked for the transport and distribution of electricity company RENEL, Transelectrica and SMART, holding coordination and management positions.
Mr. Ruset holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, with the thesis “Optimizing the operating regime of medium voltage networks having neutral treated with compensating coils” (2012). Member of important bodies in the energy field, such as CIGRE, WEC, and IEEE, Petru started his academic involvement as a guest professor of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Energy Faculty, in 2015, and since 2016 is visiting professor within our faculty.
Petru Ruset graduated the Faculty of Electrotechnics at the Polytechnic Institute “Traian Vuia” Timisoara (1989), Management & Marketing Course “Carl Duisbesrg” Germany (1996-1997,) Advance Management Course Feldangen Siemens Germany (2009).
