Risks in Energy Business

The aim of this course is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the different risks faced by the energy business and how these can be effectively managed. This course also intends to provide participants with the basics of an understanding of principles, tools and main operations management elements to apply in their energy business environment.

Learning objectives:

• Understand the basics of risk management, such as risk management framework, including processes, organisational risk attitude, and the governance of risk at company level;
• Understand the materiality of different risk categories, will be able to align opportunities, strategy and risk, using risk mitigation and controls;
• Develop skills to realistically prioritize operational issues in a global and comprehensive environment and improve economic performance of the organization.
